And the number are in...Drum Roll Please...
Emma is 21 lbs 8 oz and 32 1/4 inches and Sara Grace is 19 lbs 14 oz and 27 1/4 inches tall. That means Aunt Beth is the winner of a fabulous prize to be given out at a later date! Congrats!

Weight Game
Ok...The girls will be going to the doctor this afternoon so I thought we could have a little game of "Name That Baby Weight." To win, you must come closest to the actual weight of both of the girls. That means you will have to make two "educated" guesses, one for Emma and one for Sara Grace. The winner will receive a wonderful week long cruise to Hawaii...Or maybe just a Christmas ornament. Can't decide yet. So...Start your guessing! Their appointment is a 3pm today! Results later!

Some New Pics
Did you remember to dust your tree before you decorated it?
Thank goodness we have Emma around to keep things straight! Call Tidy Toddlers to schedule a tree dusting at your home right away!
Mean while in new food news...Sara Grace has enjoyed sampling prunes. Yum!
Sara Grace got decked out to attend Little Lambs at church last week. The head band actually stayed on her head the entire ride there! Not sure how long it lasted during church though. (If you get really close to the picture you can actually see Sara's new bottom teeth!)Wednesday, November 29, 2006
Wow...Has It Been That Long?
I didn't really realize how long it has been since I've posted new pictures. Hope these were worth the wait! I'll try to get some more posted soon.
Sara Grace is enjoying solid foods. After feeding her bananas one day, I put her spoon down to get Emma some milk...I turn around and Sara has the spoon in her mouth! Spoon lickin' good!
Sara Grace was the sweetest bumblebee for Halloween. Notice the drool on her costume...Sara is the proud owner of her bottom two teeth!
Emma has found the wonders of Reese's cups. They are very "yum."
Emma has also gotten to enjoy the swings at the park recently. We have to get one for her house now!

The Pics I Promised
We're sad to report that Emma has pretty much grown too tall to bathe in the "duck tub." We were afraid of her reaction to having to take a bath in the big tub, but as you can see...she was fine because her small ducks were with her!
Emma says, "I'm a big girl now!"
...and she's really excited about it!
In other bath news... Sara has graduated to the "duck tub!" We were worried that Emma would be jealous to have to share her precious tub with her "tister," but she was okay with it. We're not sure what Sara's reaction to the tub was, but at least there were no tears involved.
Maw Maw and Paw Paw visited the girls yesterday. Emma played ball with them and read from her Bible. Sara was able to stare at them and look like a fat, cute baby!

October Already!
I have some new pictures in the camera but I haven't gotten them uploaded to the computer yet. Emma is still walking, running, and talking up a storm! One of her new "jobs" is to move some letter magnets from the refridgerator door to the front of the dishwasher and back and forth. This is helpful when I'm trying to empty the drain board but becomes a hassle when we're trying to cook. Emma is also adamant that the refridgerator door be closed! Do not attempt to get more than one item out because she will be behind you trying to close the door.
Sara is rolling around and making some new sounds. She really likes to make a wet razzing sound and to say 'mamamama," which sometimes sounds like she's saying Emma. Sara enjoys listening to Emma read to her and likes to watch us play with Emma's large beach ball.
When I find the camera, I'll try to get some new pics up. I usually get one or two good shots in before I have to put the camera down and chase someone. As you can imagine, I frequently find the camera in rather strange places.

September Happenings
Guess where Marcus and I were last weekend? We had fun in our old stomping grounds of Auburn, Alabama. Beautiful red brick buildings are popping up all over campus and I felt like Daddy while we walking around. Everytime Mama and Daddy would visit me at school he would look around and say, "That wasn't here when I was in college." Monday, September 11, 2006
I Stand Corrected!
I stand corrected. Someone mentioned in a comment from the last post that Emma can say "uncle." This was just an oversight on my part and I apologize to the anonymous person who wrote the comment. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it was Uncle Brandon!

It's Been A While...
Emma has discovered purses! She likes to walk around with them while saying "bye, bye." Just to keep you up to date, here is a list of the words I've heard Emma say so far. Here we go...Daddy, Mama, Duffer (the dogs name is McDuff but we just call him Duff now), duck, diaper, Sara, supper, light, bye-bye, button, hi, book, hi there, no no, what, up, move, mine, cup, Emma, wa wa (water), tister (sister) and hot. Now if she could just put them all in a nice long sentence!
This was Sara's first time in the Bounce, Bounce Baby contraption. Emma likes to walk around her and show her all the cool things on the tray. By the way...Sara smiles a lot now! I don't think she understands cameras yet though. Big news from Sara Graceland...Sara rolled over from her back to her tummy this afternoon!
Emma is modeling Daddy's Donald Duck golfing hat. I just thought this was too cute! Marcus and Emma went to get the mail before he left to golf and Emma came back in the house sporting this look.
Aunt Beth came to visit so it was a good chance for a photo. The outfit Sara Grace is wearing was actually Beth's when she was little. I remember Beth wearing it and wishing I had one like it because it was so soft. We also have pictures of Beth holding Emma while she is wearing the suit, but those were the days before our digital camera. Guess you'll just have to look at the scrapbook...when I finish it.Tuesday, August 01, 2006
Sara Goes to Church
Sara was excited to go to church for the first time this Sunday.
She behaved on the ride to "Little Lambs" and Ms. Connie was so excited to have another Kolmetz baby since Emma has moved on to the "Turtle" class.
You can't really tell in this picture, but the girls are wearing matching suits...much to their father's dismay. Speaking of their daddy, you can see him "helping" Emma stay put for the picture. You really can see the difference in the girls skin tones here. Sara is so rosy and Emma is more golden...and no, Emma hasn't been out in the sun. Emma Gets Dressed Up

Emma got dressed up to model her birthday dress. Aunt Lauren and Uncle Brandon sent it all the way from Macy's in "New York City." (I hope you pronounced the phrase just like the old Pace Pecante Sauce commercials...that's the way I always do)

Sara Update
Sara isn't being mistreated by Aunt Lauren. This was her normal "look" for the first few weeks of life. Dr. Rachesky thinks she has acid reflux and has put her on soy formula. She has good days and bad days and you can tell what kind of day this was!
Another aunt and the same expression...only a little more unhappy this time. She is doing better since the switch to soy and we go see the doctor again this afternoon. Sara had her best day yesterday. She would eat (without a struggle), stay up for an hour, and then take a little nap. Quite a change from the day this pic was taken!
Emma took some time out of her busy schedule to read to her sister. Sara really enjoyed it despite the fact that the book was upside down. Guess the girls speak their own language already. Emma Update
Emma and President George Bush would have to disagree about broccoli. Emma loves it and we love the fact that she wants to feed herself with her spoon!
Emma is always looking for someone to read to her. Aunt Beth enjoyed the complex plot twist and character development in "My First Tea Party."
Aunt Lauren got to experience the wonderful world of Clifford the Big Red Dog. Emma's zest for reading really excites all the teachers in the family!
Emma got to play with her Uncle Brandon for a few days. He's pouting because Emma took his toy away.
Emma also learned how to walk. She still enjoys holding onto the coffee table and going round and round and round and round while talking and talking and talking...well, you get the idea...she will let go of the table and walk across the living room. Monday, June 12, 2006

What We've Been Up To
This entry does not include any of the details of late night feedings, burping, bathing, stinky diapers, sippy cups, spit ups, drooling, double strollers, mini-vans or large laundry loads of little girl clothes. Those are also things we have been up to lately!
Emma seems to have accepted the fact the "bobby" is here to stay. Now she is more curious than jealous, as shown here. Emma likes to check on Sara in the bouncy seat, which is in the pack and play, so she can snatch the blanket off of her sister or bounce her enough to wake her up. (The bouncy is in the pack and play so that Duff won't sniff all over the baby and so Emma won't poke her all the time like she does her dolls.)
Emma continues to love Duff. She points to him and says his name all the time. One day last week she decided that she could help him out by opening the back door to let him in. Thank goodness for deadbolts and the fact that Emma is balancing on the door she is trying to open. It'll only be a matter of time though!
Emma has enjoyed helping Sara with the swing. I guess Emma thought Sara would really like being rattled instead of gently swaying back and forth. No wonder Sara has only stayed in the swing for a total of 5 minutes in the past 4 weeks! It was so cute I had to snap a picture though. I promise the baby was not harmed in the taking of this picture!

Sisters, Sisters...
Just be glad you didn't have to hear me sing the song. Makes
me long for Christmas! Anyway...I have more pics but it will take
a few days to rename them and put them on Shutterfly. Sleep is
more important now!
Extra Credit:
Does everyone know what movie the song above came from?

Somebody turned 4 months old recently and started to eat rice cereal. Sara Grace wasn't really sure what to do with her tongue while she was eating, so we're waiting a few days and we'll try again.
You know how Emma feels about reading. You're never too dressed up to read!
