Valentine's Day & Such

Happy Valentine's Day! The girls enjoyed looking through their mailboxes and Valentines. They brought home much more after the various parties at school and church. We've still got plenty of heart shaped chocolates around here!

Here is Sara and her classmates before their party.

It's time for pizza and fruit! Yummy!

Emma also had a party but it lasted pretty much all day. They started eating candy around 8:30am during their writing time. Mrs. Wittkopf let the children use M&M's between the words in their journals...the more words you wrote, the more M&M's you got to eat. Genius!

February Already?

January Wrap Up!

Aunt Leveda reminded me that our blog was living in the past again so I finally got myself together and added some new pics!

It's been cold around here. Just thought this looked kinda cool.

We met Grana at Destin Commons to watch Tangled. I thought it was really a cute movie but the girls reactions were mixed. If Emma thinks one part of a movie is scary (the mean mommy in this case), then she doesn't like any of it. Sara said she liked the movie and told Emma that she liked it too.

The girls look a little disheveled here, don't they.

January 10 was a big day in this Auburn household. I treated it like any other game day...that means we have to have pancakes and sausage served on our orange Fiestaware and wear the same t-shirts that we've worn all season long. The school uniform policy messed Emma's game day up a bit but we were able to remedy that after school!

After the big game, we made our way to Auburn on January 22 to join in on the National Championship Celebration! It was a pretty full house at Jordan-Hare Stadium...estimates were between 70,000 to 75,000 people.

Sara enjoyed the ceremony a little more than Emma did. She liked yelling "Go, Auburn, Go. You can do it!"

Rolling Toomer's Corner...well, it's a little tree very close to Toomer's Corner.

Official Toomer's Drug Store Lemonade...the best around! After tasting this stuff, Emma decreed it the best and now Chik-fil-A lemonade has fallen to 2nd place.

Walking in front of Samford Hall on our way to the stadium. It was a beautiful day on the plains!

War Eagle!
