Quick Christmas Rewind

I know I've been a bad blogger lately so here is a quick rewind of December 2009.

We had a magical time at Disney and enjoyed lots of food, music, Christmas trees (and some whining).

Sara enjoyed her first "roller coaster" and took Daddy along for the ride.

The girls did a great job in the Christmas program at school. Emma was an angel (she was already out of costume by the time this picture was taken) and Sara was a reindeer.

The girls loved getting together with all of the Kolmetz family and taking turns at beating up on a poor pinata with the other great-grandkids.

We baked up a forest of Christmas tree cookies.

The girls tried to break Grandpa's knees on Christmas Eve.

Emma tried to ride her new bike into the fireplace...not really, but Marcus is a fine actor, right?

Sara became queen of her own mini-kingdom.

We gave Aunt Beth the ultimate gift...a Snuggie!

Sara went fishing with Grandaddy and the "big one" got away again. Maybe next time.

Beatles Rock Band came into our world and matching Barbie electric guitars. We're hearing lots of Girls Just Want to Have Fun and Yellow Submarine around here.

Various Disney Pics

This was going to be a longer post, but Blogger is not letting me upload any more pictures. Maybe I will have to do a series of short posts instead of a long one. We'll see...but here are a few pictures from our Christmas Disney vacation.

We had lunch at a special Princess character meal at the Norway pavilion in EPCOT. Having been to the real Norway, I wasn't too excited about the food but it was suprizingly good! I'm sure they chef's "Americanized" the food to fit our palettes and I didn't have to eat any pickled herring! Score! Emma loved meeting the princesses (Belle, Aurora, Snow White, Cinderella and Ariel) and getting her picture taken with each one. Sara, on the other hand, practically climbed up on top of Marcus' head to get away from them.

When we returned to our resort on our first night, we found a beautiful little tree waiting for us! I was messing around with my early Christmas present (a new camera from Marcus) when I took this shot.

Emma liked that she could draw on all the table clothes at the restaurants we went to and she loved all the desserts. Girl has a sweet tooth like her mama! Sara wasn't interested in any of the sweets! Not sure where that came from!

Daddy and Sara found a perfect pal. Sara hugged on her Mickey all night long and tried to pay for it with some stickers a castmember gave her. It was really cute!

Church Musical

Sorry for the delay in blogging but we've been quite busy lately. I've been trying to get all the craft projects ready for my class at school, we've had Emma's Christmas program, Marcus' Christmas program, the program at school for all of us, various Christmas parties and a vacation to Disney...not to mention two bad colds, an ear infection, bronchitis, sinusitis and a partridge in a pear tree!

Anyway....I'm hoping to post a couple of short blogs instead of a big one so...here it goes!

Emma was in the Children's Choir Presentation of The Best Christmas Present at our church. The picture above is Emma and her preschool choir friends using their "jingle gloves." She was in the middle of her bad cold, so her nose was a little runny.

During the final number of the program, the preschool choir came out as a live nativity. Emma was a sheep.

One of our pastors was speaking and I just love the expression on Emma's face. We'll try to post more pictures soon.
